Love is in the Air (Literally)

It’s the beginning of February and we all know what that means - Valentine’s Day is JUST around the corner. How will you set the mood? Candle-lit dinner? A movie? Chocolates? Fragrance? (And we don’t mean just your perfume or cologne.)
Smells and scents can play a very big part in sending signals to the emotion centers of the brain. Just one spritz of the right scent can improve mood, promote relaxation and even make you seem more attractive.
Why’s that? Let’s jump into science for a quick moment:
According to CNN blog The Chart:
“Scent can trigger powerful memories, especially from our childhoods, which is why these scents may still exert a hold on us years later. And according to Hirsch, “Research has shown that when women are in the presence of a preferred scent, they are more likely to project positive feelings on those around them, which can lead to increased attraction.””
So while we may initially physically attracted to one another by sight, smell can either reinforce the attraction or weaken it. We’ve all had an encounter with someone who’s very attractive but they just do not smell nice. And just like that, all bets are off.
Long story short, we like pleasant smells. We’re attracted to not just someone’s perfume but their personal scent as well. Each person has his or her own “smell print.” And we pick up on them so quickly and subconsciously, we may not even know it, but they’re powerful enough to influence your decisions about attraction.
Whatever you’re planning this V-Day don’t make fragrance the afterthought, make it the thought and add a little aromatherapy to your night. Our latest fragrance Temptation, with it’s intriguing mix of Indian Jasmine and Magnolia, will bring a bright and happy feeling to you and your partner’s soul. Hinoki Wood and White Musk complete this passionate and sensual blend along with Violet Blossom and Blackberry.
Spray a little love in the air and spark up your night. Happy Valentine’s Day!
